Symmetrical three-phase load transducer
The Unipower APM10 converts true three-phase power into standard analogue signals for control systems. Supplied from 24 V DC, it measures currents up to 60 A with an internal current transformer and outputs either 0/4-20 mA or 0/2-10 V. Galvanic isolation between input and output ensures safe integration into PLCs and meters.
Technical Highlights 🔧
- Supply voltage: 24 V DC.
- Measurement: three-phase symmetrical load; kW calculation P = 3 x U x I x cos .
- Current range: internal CT ranges 5, 10, 20, 25, 40 or 60 A AC.
- Analogue output: selectable 0/4-20 mA or 0/2-10 V; galvanically isolated.
- Test voltage: 3 kV insulation between input and output.
Benefits ✅
- Provides a simple kW-to-analogue converter for monitoring symmetrical loads.
- Internal CT eliminates the need for external sensors up to 60 A.
- Selectable output types fit a wide range of controllers and indicators.
- Galvanic isolation protects control equipment from high voltage transients.
Applications 🚀
- Energy monitoring and control of industrial motors.
- Integration into control loops requiring proportional kW signals.
- Retrofit into older systems where simple transducers replace mechanical meters.
The APM10 offers a straightforward method for converting three-phase power into standard analogue signals with full isolation and internal current measurement.
FAQs
- Q: Does the APM10 provide any relay outputs?
A: No. It is a transducer that provides only analogue outputs; protective relays are not included.
- Q: What current ranges are available?
A: Internal CT ranges include 5, 10, 20, 25, 40 and 60 A AC, covering a wide range of motor sizes.
- Q: Is the output isolated?
A: Yes. The output is galvanically isolated from the input and withstands 3 kV test voltage.
