These terms and conditions are a legal agreement between us and apply to your use of our website including the sale of retail goods to consumers. You must read and accept all the terms and conditions contained in this agreement and our privacy policy prior to buying goods from us. The language of the agreement is English.
All orders placed by you are subject to our acceptance. We reserve the right at all times and in our sole discretion to refuse to accept an order for any reason and without liability to you.
This term apply to sales over the Internet only.
After you have placed the order with us and paid for the goods, we will send you an order confirmation by email with your order number and details of the product you have ordered.
You may browse our website without registering but when you place your first order you will need to register with us and complete certain fields on our order form. Your username will be your email address. You will need to input a password.
You should not disclose or transfer your username or password to any other person and you must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your username and password. Without prejudice to our rights, we may suspend your access to the website without liability to you if in our reasonable opinion such action is necessary to safeguard the website.
Before you submit your order you will be given the opportunity to review your selection, check the total price of your order and correct any errors. Your order represents an offer by you to purchase items selected you.
We reserve the right to change at any time and without any previous notice the items offered on our website.
It is vitally important that you check carefully the quantity of goods that you order from us. We will deliver what you order. Whilst you have a right of cancellation you must pay for the delivery costs back to us.
Once you have submitted an order you will be able to access your order online. We will keep your order online for 12 months following delivery.
We have made every effort to represent the size colours and general pictorial image of our products as accurately as possible. However, due to differences in monitors we are unable to guarantee what you see on your monitor will reflect the true product. If you have any questions about the product you may of course contact us (see “contact us”).
Charter Controls warrants that the goods that you buy will at the time of delivery to you correspond to the description given by Charter Controls. Except where you buy as a consumer (as defined in Section 12 Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977) all other warranties, conditions and terms relating to fitness for purpose, merchantability or condition of the goods, whether implied by statute or common law or otherwise are excluded. No statement, description, information, warranty, condition or recommendation contained in any catalogue list or similar shall be construed to enlarge, vary or override in any way the terms of this clause.
All prices on the website are quoted in pounds sterling (£). The price for each item you order is initially shown without delivery charges. Delivery is shown as a separate entry and differs depending on whether delivery is to the UK or elsewhere. Delivery charge is as stated at checkout.
All prices on the website are quoted net of VAT which is charged at a current rate of 20%. At checkout VAT will be shown separately but the total will be inclusive of VAT. If you are registered for VAT and based in an EU country other than UK then you must send us an email with your country code and registration number. If you do not do so you will be charged VAT which will not be repaid subsequently.
Please note that on all orders placed for delivery outside the EU it is the customer’s responsibility to pay any import duties that may be applicable for deliveries in or to that particular country.
We may change the prices on the website at any time and without any notice. Should we make an offer we will indicate the date on which the offer lapses. This is the date by which we must receive a firm order.
We try to ensure that all prices given on the site are correct. However, mistakes can occur. If we have quoted an incorrect price on the site and if the correct price is lower than that quoted, we will automatically assume that you wish to continue with your order. However if the correct price is higher than that originally quoted, we will contact you to ask if you still want to order the goods.
You confirm that the credit card/debit card that is being used is yours. All credit /debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment we will not accept your order and we will not be liable for any delay or non delivery. Furthermore, we are not obliged to inform you of the reason for the refusal. You should note that your bank or card issuer may charge you as a result of our processing your credit /debit card payment in accordance with your order. Charter Controls has no responsibility for such charges.
We work with Protx/SagePay who process our credit and debit card transactions using the latest 3D security software. See our Privacy Policy for more information about security.
Where there is a delay in the supply of goods, we will advise you as soon as practicable. If the goods cannot be delivered within 30 days of your order, we will notify you of this delay and you may either cancel your order or agree a further delivery time with us. We aim to ship all orders on the next working day. Typically delivery will be within four to five working days of order.
We may also despatch your order in a number of consignments. We will always endeavour to keep you informed of the progress of your order by email.
If you do not receive your consignment within 7 working days of receiving the Confirmation email, Contact Us and we will investigate.
We shall have no liability for our failure to deliver to you or any delay in doing so, except to enable you to cancel your order if delivery is not made within 30 days of your order.
28 day returns guarantee
We hope you will be totally satisfied with anything you buy from our website. If, for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it unused within 28 days of the date of despatch. The date the items were despatched to you by us will be detailed in the documentation with your order. Please ensure that all items are returned in their original packaging with their labels intact.
You may exchange the item for something else, subject to stock availability, or receive a full refund of the price paid (excluding any delivery or in post charges).
The refund can only be made to the card used when paying for the order. We will email you when the item has been received and will inform you when the credit has been made to your card account. This is normally within 14 days of receipt of the goods.
If you wish to exchange an item, you will have to pay any difference in cost of the item and any additional delivery cost. We will tell you what this is so you can arrange payment.
When returning goods, please email us so that we can tell you the returns procedure.
Please wrap your parcel in its original packaging securely to avoid damage in transit back to us. Please note we cannot accept an item for refund if it has been damaged in transit to us. We advise you to obtain a proof of posting certificate if using the Post Office

In any event damaged or used items will not be exchanged nor will a refund be made. Restocking fees may be applicable depending on circumstance.
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and 2005 (the Regulations) if you are a consumer (but not otherwise) you have a right to cancel orders for items purchased from our website within a statutory cooling–off period. This is normally 7 working days from the day after the date on which the item in question was delivered.
To cancel your order, please provide us with notice by letter, fax or email, in each case within the statutory cooling off period of 7 working days from the day after the date of delivery giving details of the items ordered, the order number and (where appropriate) their delivery date.
If you exercise your right to cancellation after the item has been delivered to you, please follow the instructions for returns above. We will re-credit the card used for the purchase in accordance with the Regulations.
Please note you are to be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we delivered in error.
Orders will be sent to the delivery address that you have submitted with your order. We cannot be held responsible if that delivery address is incorrect.
Please note that we cannot deliver to PO boxes.
There are some delivery restrictions on where we can deliver and these will be given to you on request.
Risk of and title to the products will be transferred to you as soon as they are despatched to the delivery address given by you.
Once a product has been despatched, all risk of damage to or loss of the items bought by you will pass to you.
We have made arrangements to deal with any relevant waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) which arises as a consequence of your purchase from us. Returns should be made to Charter Controls quoting the order number of your purchase from us. Alternatively arrangements can be made to collect the relevant WEEE from you but a charge will be made for this service to cover the cost of collection. Please CONTACT US for further details.
The Charter Controls and Unipower trademarks remain the exclusive property of Unipower (UK) Limited and its affiliates and as such is protected by international and UK copyright and other intellectual property laws. Goods which we manufacture and those which we distribute are protected by copyright and other patent and design laws. You are expressly prohibited from any copying of them.
It is Charter Control’s policy to keep personal information private and not to divulge it to any other person or organisation. Charter Controls will contact you electronically from time to time with offers and special promotions. Please note that your credit/debit card details are never passed to Charter Controls unless you give them to us by telephone. We only receive confirmation that payment has been made of the contract price. If you give us your card details by telephone we will destroy the record once the transaction has been processed.
Charter Controls reserves the right to suspend, delay or cancel an order or delivery without being liable for any loss or damage. That is if supply of the goods is prevented or delayed by circumstances beyond our control including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, including fire or flood; civil strife, riots or war; labour disputes; accidents; or any other cause or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We may have several promotional discount codes running simultaneously. Only one discount code can be used per product.
The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the law of England and Wales and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.
